Giada

Giada Bossi is an Italian film director based in Milan. Born in Varese in 1993, she grew up in the Luinese area and attended the Frattini Art School in Varese. In 2008, she was among the finalists of the Piero Chiara Giovani Literary Prize. After high school, she traveled for two years around Europe, where he developed an interest and the need to document and film.

She moved to Milan in 2013 to study Digital Film Making at Sae Institute. Subsequently, she graduated in Screenwriting at Luchino Visconti Civic School of Cinema and deepened her knowledge of Film Acting and Actors Direction at Campo Teatrale, Milan. She participates in various workshops, including the Summer School of Film Ideas and Assistant Director with Arianna Dell’Arti.

At the same time, she begins to work as a videomaker and director, starting with event reports and music videos, moving from 2015 to today towards more structured productions ranging from fashion films to music videos to commercials, trying to combine storytelling and aesthetics, with both a narrative and documentary approach.

In 2019, she concluded the production of Borntwice, an experimental documentary distributed by Withstand and selected by the Italian Short Film Center in the “10 shorts” program to represent Italy abroad in 2020.

In February 2021, she directed her first short, “CREATURA”, selected at the Kort Film Festival LEUVEN in the European competition at CORTINAMETRAGGIO, and reported in the CLERMONT FERRAND library as a SHORT FILM MARKET PICK.

Her narrative music video Quattro Pareti for Arssalendo, is nominated for “best performance” and “best alternative video – newcomer” at UKMVA 2022 and she is nominated for “best new director”.

Shortlisted at Cannes’ Young Director Awards 2023 with two projects and winner of Young Guns, YG21, 2023.

Represented in France by Colors, and in Germany by BWGTBLD  GmbH, AGILE for the UK.

In Italy, she’s represented for film and tv by Jean-Paul Bosco and IPC International and in commercials by PURO MGMT.

She’s currently developing her first feature film in Italy.

In advertising, she worked for clients such as Nike, Adidas, Maserati, Mercedes, Amazon Music, H&M, Versace Jeans Couture.
